  • Named in 1815 by Johan Gottlieb Gahn and Jöns Jacob Berzelius from the Latin word “Albus” or “White” for its usual color; Albus is more popularly know as the first name of Hogwarts Headmaster Albus Dumbledore from the Harry Potter book series, who shares traditional symbolic associations with the energy of this stone
  • Albus is also a symbol in Geomantic Divination (popular in the Renaissance),  which was contrasted with the symbol of “Rubeus” or “Red”
