(Formed by heating natural Quartz Crystal then quenching it in cold water to cause internal cracks to reflect and refract the light - sometimes even causing rainbows within.  This does make the crystal more brittle, so be aware, excessive force can cause crystals to crack along the internal crackling.)

• Although Quartz Crystal typically has a hardness of 7 making it fairly durable, the process used to create the crackling makes the quartz very brittle and easy to fracture along the internal fissures when struck, under pressure, or in events of drastic temperature change
