• Also sometimes sold as Cherry Blossom or Sakura Agate especially when the stone is a delicate soft pink color
• Also may feature orbicular/circular, plume, or starburst patterning
• A type of chalcedony - a microcrystalline variety of quartz, this stone is geologically similar to plume agate differing only in visual appearance: flower-like inclusion patterns instead of plumes
• Chalcedony is geologically the broad family of stones that includes:
  Agate (translucent chalcedony with mineral inclusions)
  Jasper (opaque chalcedony due to a higher amount of mineral inclusions)
