Additional Information:

• Although Bolivianite is technically a synonym of Ametrine (Bolivia being the primary source for most available Ametrine), it is now being used to describe this newly available purple/green with white opaque stone from Bolivia
• Many sources claim it to be a variety of Atlantisite (Stichtite/Serpentine) purely due to appearance; however according to a source that actually had it analyzed, it appears to be composed of Fuchsite (green mica), with purple Fluorite and Diaspore, sometimes with a white, lighter variety of Zeolite
• The primary source is Bolivia, with some claiming Peru as a secondary source due to Peruvian stone dealers being the main sellers of Bolivianite, although it appears that the confusion arises from the fact that Lima, Peru, is where the primary stone working facilities are that cut and polish or tumble the source material
