• Originally believed to be a tektite from a meteoric impact, most geologist now confirm this stone to be volcanic in origin
• Erroneously called Cintamani Stone, from the Buddhist/Hindu concept “Cintāmaṇi” (pronounced CHEEN-tuh-MAH-nee / Cintā: Wish-fulfilling Maṇi: Jewel); however, there are no direct connections with this stone to Buddhist or Hindu practice or belief
